INTRODUCTION
MANDALA BOOK POINT is a central meeting point among
scholars, researchers, academicians, historians, anthropologists,
and tourists visiting Nepal. The shop has more than 12,000
titles of different subjects ranging from Childrens' books
to Academic books. This book shop has a wide range of
books on Anthropology & Sociology, History & Culture,
Gender & Politics, Art & Architectures, Police & Millitary
Science, Carpets & Textiles, Mountaineering, Trekking
books & maps, Wildlife
& Environment science, Language & Literature, Yoga & Ayurvedic,
Sport & Health, Fiction & Non-fiction Paperbacks, Lonely
Planet and Others Guide books at the show room at Kantipath
which opens from 10:00 AM-8:00 PM except Saturdays (10:30
AM-5:00 PM).
LOCATION
MANDALA BOOK POINT is prominently located at Kantipath
in the heart of Kathmandu, Nepal.
OBJECTIVE
The objective of MANDALA BOOK POINT is to acquaint
its readers with the culture religion of the entire Himalayan
belt extending in the West from Karakoram to Bhutan in
the East including Nepal and to protect and preserve the
Himalayan heritage through the medium of books.
JOURNAL
Since 1996, MANDALA BOOK POINT has started publishing
SINHAS Journal (Studies in the History and Society of
Nepal). The fifteenth issue of Journal i.e. Vol. 8 No.

Since last few years Mandala has started its publications.
All publications are academic books relating to Anthropology,
Sociology, Politics, Culture, Religion. One of the monumental
Mandala reprint is "Nepal Mandala" by Mary Slusser in
two volumes (Vol. I: Text. 492 pages Vol. II: plates:
9 maps, 29 figures, 599 b/w photographs). This book was
published in an arrangement with Princeton University
Press, Princeton, New Jersey, U.S.A.
